ok, soooo i don't know a whole lot about cars. my car won't start at all. when i turn the key all the way nothing happens. the lights, radio etc. will all turn on so it the battery is fine. i can't shift the car when the key is turned all the way like i usually can. the car is an automatic. can anyone please help???

How old is the battery? If the battery is more than 4 years old it is very possible that the battery has enough energy power the lights and radio but not enough to power the starter. Also, check to make sure there is no corrosion on the battery terminals and the ground (black) cable is not loose..

If the battery is less than 4 yrs old and there is no corrosion on the terminals and the cables are secure, I would say you need a new starter.
