So I've had my battery and alternator both tested, both are good. The alternator was also bench tested and was given the green light. But when i go to start my car all she does is "click" No lights come on, no noise is made..just click. If I jump her she starts and runs for about 20mins and then dies again. It's not a fuse either, checked all of those. TODAY when I tried to start her, I put the key in the ignition and my car beeped to tell me a door was open (which i already knew)...I have automatic seatbelts, and my driver side seatbelt just started moving on it's own. While making this intereesting sound, almost like a toy car. The seat belt went all the way back and then forward again..WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. When I put the key in the ignition and turned it to the stereo postion, where the stereo comes on but you dont actually start the car, it would stop. I know my car is old and falling apart and I need a new one...but that isnt gonna happen right now. So if anyone can please help me figure out why my car wont start...that would be awesome.
Oh and just for the record I keep telling people to check my starter and nobody will because they all swear it's my alternator, but hey I'm just a girl, so what do i know? If someone out there can give me something to say to these guys to get them to check the starter that would be awesome as well. Thanks in advance
