I am just getting into astronomy and have recently bought a telescope to start, i am wanting to align my telescope, i have some websites which which show where the some viewable planets / stars will be on a particular night, they always show east and west the wrong way round though, here are 2 links i have been using so you can see what i mean:
http://www.heavens-above.com/skychart.aspx?SL=1&SN=1&lat=0&lng=0&loc=Unspecified&alt=0&tz=CET
and
http://www.schoolsobservatory.org.uk/astro/esm/sky/dome24.shtml
Can anyone explain why they are the opposite way around? im just confused as my view of which way north is seems different to where the sites are telling me it is.
