i thought that the canada french trade was so important. i was watching the history channel (like always) and the said that the dutch trade was the most important. i already know that The St. Lawrence valley, known as Canada, was at a safe distance from the Spanish, it had think and expensive furs that could be sold by the French in the fur trade, the natives, the Montagnais and the Algonkins, were very skilled hunters. The French used Canada in the development of there economy.

so i am just a little confused why they said that the dutch trade was so important..... what do you guys think? was the history channel wrong or am i just crazy lol
