Why was that the tree that started sin even in the garden of eden?

If God didn't want them to eat from it, why couldn't he just keep it in heaven? That would have stopped most of the old testament and the entire new testament from happening in the first place right?

Buddhism is the best by the way :) just as a side note
 
I know. I'm pretty sure God WANTED eve to eat the fruit. Just like he wants us all to sin as much as possible. It's like good television for the big guy upstairs.
 
If Adam and Eve were kept in Garden of Eden as some kind of decoration, we won't be here and you would not be asking this question. We human cannot comprehend the work of God.

Oh, and in that case there would not have been Buddhism or any other ism.
 
If there was no test it would show that humans can follow God when there is no reason to do otherwise. When there is a chance for independance, will they seize it?
 
technically, it wasn't the tree, but the woman that started sin. just the beginning of Christianity's demonizaton of women. 2000 years later, we're still being oppressed.
 
In reality God chose the fruit of a tree to test mankind (of course there were just Adam and Eve at the time). However, it could have been anything ... it could have been a BIG red button they were not supposed to push.

The point is this ... God wants us to obey Him because WE CHOOSE to -- not because He has given us no other choice as you have suggested by just not having the tree there in the first place.

It is good that you have looked into at least one of the world religions (Buddhism). However, I suggest that you search out the others as well -- not at a superficial level but really look into their differences. Of course I believe with research & logic, the only viable religion is Christianity. Not your run-of-the-mill "Christianity" but the one prophesied in the Old Testament and fulfilled and defined in the New Testament.

Think about it. Research and study it. Figure it out.
 
God doesn`t want humans obeying Him because they have no choice , but rather because they WANT to , of their own free will ...........

BTW .......... it wasn`t the "tree of the knowledge of good and bad" that started sin ................ it was Satan that was the original sinner .................. the tree had nothing to do with it !
