why was satan allowed into the garden of eden?

yet when adam and eve sinned they were expelled from the garden, and it was then guarded by two sword weilding angels.
Why weren't the sword weilding angels guarding it to begin with from satan?
 
because it proves that god doesn't force religion onto anyone, we make the choice. he is not a god who makes us do what he wants, we have the choice. even now. its up to us to decide whether we want to trust god or not. I hope you chose god. :)
