Why was my garden salad from McDonald's all ice?

There was a thin sheet of ice under the first layer of lettuce and the tomatoes were rock hard ice. Gross. That was my first time ever ordering a salad from McDonald's so not sure if thats how they sell it. Anyone know?
 
all salad stuff and fruit is currently being shipped way too cold and goes off very quickly, however the manager at Mcdonalds was in error he should be checking that stuff, phone mcdonalds and tell them they need to know and will probably send you a voucher for more frozen salad
 
ew, thats nasty. It probably just got over-frozen or something was wrong with the fridge, but i just advise that you don't get that again(: . haha,
 
I imagine it's not been defrosted properly. They'll keep it all in a giant freezer, and defrost it when needed. Not pleasant for you. You should have complained at the time, but there probably isn't a great deal you can do now. Sorry your salad sucked.
