Why the FUCK is Gamespot reviewing Wii Virtual Console games?

I mean seriously, reviewing the original Mario Bros. and giving it a 4.9 POOR? Donkey Kong gets a 4.6 POOR?? The Legend of Zelda gets a 7.2 GOOD? Are you fucking kidding me?

Reviewing these makes no sense to me. Especially when they say the BAD of Mario Bros is this.....

Simplistic gameplay? That's how games were back then you fucking idiot! Why review an old ass game like that using today's standards?

The BAD of The Legend of Zelda.....

Wow. You say that something's bad about a game due to it's age and then say, well, that's to be expected. But you still give it a 7.2.....

Wow ... I must of been talking to someone while typing that.

Just saying that every review that Gamespot has writting in regards to the Wii seems to point out its obvious weaknesses and scores it very low for that reason. Personally, I think reviews should be a measure of what was promised or at least expected vs. what the final product actually is.

We know Zelda doesn't run in 1080p, and we know its a Zelda game (ie same items, same basic story, same basic game layout & flow) ... that's why we love the Zelda series. Gamespot, however, uses this against the game.

Then to take the time to review and publish their take on 8-bit games running on a Virtual Console, saying they have dated graphics and simplistic gameplay, and therefore giving them a 4.9 is fucking dumb.

It like they are pissed that people enjoy the Wii.

Ah. I agree with you fully then. It is really lame to 'invent' standards for something so that when it doesn't live up to those standards it gets a low mark. It's like how people keep saying the Wii sucks because of it's graphics. Well the Wii was never advertised for their graphics and yet people seem to dock it marks because it can't do what a PS3 does. Makes no sense.

Well they are reviewing the greatest games of all time, you check any top 100 chart and its dominated by some of these games.

Gamespot are being fucking retarded.

I want to say they're not reviewing the content of the games but rather how they run on the Wii via the virtual console, but those quotes lead me to believe otherwise.
