This conflict is rather ironic, if you look at it. If you take the traditional definition of who can declare war, you find that only nation-states with a will and with recognized sovereignty have the luxury to wage war on another nation-state.
Since the State of Palestine does not yet exist, Hamas and Islamic Jihad have, in effect, NEVER declared war on Israel by sending suicide bombers and by sending rockets to Israel, because they do not have the power to do such an act. Which makes you wonder how Israel is justidfied at "defending itself" from an entity which cannot even legally declare war.
This illegal and criminal act and behavior of Israel makes the killing of Jews look PERFECTLY LEGAL AND JUSTIFIED.

However, since Israel views everything as being a war, because it has the thirst to fight everyday, legal definitions are thrown out the window.
