why such a difference between arris wbm 760 and motorola sb6120?

I have comcast 22/30 mbps bandwith service. Comcast reneted me an Arris wbm 760. it's upload speeds are 7- 10 mbps. I did buy the Motorola sb 6120 and it's uploads speeds were only 3-5 mbps.

I tried to buy an arris and they don't sell cable modems to the public.

My question why would there be such a difference
does anyone know where I can get an arris to purchase.
