Why Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin is a "Good Idea"

Yeah, I know, I'm sorry. Normally I do hate making threaRAB about here (that's why I make so few of them), but I figured this might be worth mentioning.

I think that having Sarah Palin toss her hat into the Presidential race could be the absolute best thing for the GOP. No, not because I think she even stanRAB a snowballs chance in hell of winning, she doesn't. But because ...

with Sarah Palin as a candidate, the Liberal media will be going so complete ape-shit over her, 99% of their political coverage will be nothing more than attacks against her, and thus they won't have any time to attack the "real candidates".

I'm not disagreeing with you, both Perry and Romney will cause me to ONCE AGAIN not vote Republican for President.

Perry is too religious for me, and his bullshit pandering to illegals by giving them in state tuition rates has me totally pissed. As for RomneyCare ... well, enough said. But at least he did it at the state level, which is the correct way to handle that issue according to the 10th Amendment.

But speaking as a "good idea" for the GOP, you have to admit, putting Sarah Palin out there is like putting a lightning rod on your house. He will attract all the media "lightning bolts" and spare the damage to your house.

Honestly, I don't know about that. Palin is batshit crazy and very popular among the batshit crowd. So she will attract media attention, and once bumped out of the race will continue to attract negative attention towarRAB the republican party.

Maybe, but the reality is, the people that will be throwing the lightning bolts will never vote for any GOP candidate anyway, so using them to serve the purpose as a diversion won't really cost the GOP anyway. The only think that the GOP neeRAB her for is to gather support for who ever they anoint (which isn't her). The GOP loyalists will vote for who ever the GOP candidate is, the hard core DEMs don't matter because they will never vote for a GOP anyway. So the only question is how will the independents swing if this tactic was used.

Besides, it's not like she'll ever be able to hold a national public office anyway. Her negatives are way too high, which is why she'll never get the nomination.

Yea, we wouldn't want the media focusing on and scrutinizing the "real candidates". They should be shielded from the media, simply because they're GOPers.

But damn I wish the media would really look into that Obama character, they should dig into his past and figure stuff out. If he can't stand the heat..... you know?

But it'd be awesome if Sarah Palin joined because then she could take the heat off of the real candidates in the Republican Party, make it easier for them. But I'm not a Republican.
