Why people have crushes with animated charaters?

That's because your Rock Lee icon scared us all away! :p

J/K, Lee's cool - so's Gai in a creepy, wrong, spastic, WRONG kind of way. XD YOUTH!!

Anyway, it's not any different than any other fantasy, and it's harmless for the most part so what's the problem? (Aside from rabid yaoi fangirls) :D

Ah,why do we like cartoon/animated charactors and what makes us so attractive to them.

My answer is, boobies are boobies, plain and simple.

And since guys are creatures who are attractive to things by sight, seeing a female animated charactor with perfect physic and features are more than likely going to get our attention. Along with that if thier personality is something a person would find attractive as in "Man, she has a smoking hot bod, the face like a godess and an attiude to back it up, shes my type of woman", then boom, you have a crush.

But its a good thing to find a person wiether there animated or not to be attractive to not only thier outer apperance, but who they are on the inside too. But in all do respect, please find a real girl that you can like, even find one that to you is like your favorite animated crush, just for pete's sake let them be real...

I think it's because people feel a closeness to these characters, they can relate to them. And we people feel relative to someone, it's common to develop feelings for him/her. Or perhaps people find there attributes appealing, personality-wise or appearance-wise. Like...i.e. people may like the girls from cartoons like Ikki Tousen because of their certain "outstanding" attribute...*coughboobscough*

Honestly, I don't find cartoon characters "attractive" and I've never had a crush on one. But I have affection for certain characters, because I really find them great...but not romantically.

I recently had a small crush on Daria, because she has the traits that I'd find nice in a girl.
That's my reason. And I do remember having a crush on a cartoon character back when I was 10.
But the good (and healthy) thing to do is to be aware you have such a crush, get over it quickly, and seek a girl with traits similar to the character you liked.

That's nice. You may PM the $100 by the end of the week.

But anyway, here's the scene I was refering to in my previous post. Basically Wayne's boss Mr. Jennings is hooked up to a machine that will help him to find a woman for him with the aid of pictures fed into it with the desired traits. The quote:

Jennings- Put in a picture of Pocahontas.

Wayne- But she's animated.

Jennings- I'll say.

I love that show so much, wish they had it on DVD, or at least on the air again...

I don't think there's anything wrong with finding a cartoon character attractive, but actually having a crush on one is different. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing, but it is unusual, and possibly a sign that you need to get out more.

Who knows? That happened to me when it came to the white haired Polly Purebred (the late Norma mc Millan) and Trixie Racer (Corriene Orr, pardon the spelling). And Bianca Dupree, Nikki Darling and Tara Belle.

I pretty much have the same list here, dude. in all seriousness,we have these crushes because, well, some of us(myself included) might not have a chance at real love. two,it's the character designer's fault for drawing them that way. third, some of us are teens and that's when puberty starts up and I won't go into detail, but we start developing. that's prettymuch my two-cents on this.

I used to think cartoon crushes were harmless until I started surfing the net. Let's just say some segments of the "furry" culture and erotic cartoon art fandom demonstrate an unhealthy side to cartoon crushes.
