why only one year on the 2 into 1

Opinions are like a$$holes every one has one. I think the true duals are butt ugly how they dump out on the left side from the back piston. Power duals with the cross over and going under the bike are much better cosmetically. I can really give a crap about the bike looking “balanced” with duals out back its just double the price for slip-ons.

Sorry but every thing being equal 2 to 1 is the best performing exhaust and the dyno proves it. Only reason power is down on the 2010 is because of the cats. I bet the 2011 with the cat and duals is even worse.

I will upgrade my exhaust this winter. I’m looking for a good 2-1 to replace my stock or I will go with power duals if I can’t find anything else I like (in black).

I like my D&D Fatcat w/concentric baffle (standard) and it comes in black.

So we agree that Harleys (even your Street Glide) offer trades-offs between performance and styling? If you agree with that then insulting someone by saying the trade-offs they've made are a "fashion statement" while your's aren't is pretty hypocritical.

BTW, for all you guys who can't remember (or maybe weren't born yet) back in 1961:

The 2010 2/1 is sure NOT a new thing for HD and two mufflers aren't necessarily a standard for touring HDs either.

I really like the look of the Vance and Hines new Pro Pipe 2-1 from behind. I have it.

That said, I cannot get this thing tuned in right so I am going back with a 09 2-1-2 and slipons.

Sure, let them do that too. Sheesh, some think that the way it is now doesn't put out enough light. Have you followed a '10 yet? There is PLENTY of light back there, I love the clean look of the rear fender without the light. I also have gotten used to/and actually LIKE the 2-1 pipe on the SG, it stands it out. If you wanted a "TOURING" bike for looks only, buy an Ultra or Limited,,, YES I do think the SG is a fine touring bike, rides a little firmer, but I plan on putting many many miles on this thing.

The reason MOCO went back to the 2-2pipe is so those of us who were not afraid of "Change" (No I didn't vote for Obama) LOL can feel special with our unique look on the '10s!

I also thought I would change the exhaust as soon as I bought the bike, but began to like the looks,,, so it stays. (Even if I go aftermarket, it'll be a 2-1.
