why only one year on the 2 into 1

I doubt the stock 2 into 1 gave any performance improvements, too me it was just for looks. I too like the dual look and glad its back. If I wanted 2-1 I'd get a ghost pipe also.

The Street Glide has always been a fashion statement, hardly a true touring bike.

BUT IT SURE IS PRETTY WITH TWO PIPES STICKING OUT THE ASS END.

.......... there are those who would say that that is actually what owning a Harley is all about
...... I would not be one'a 'those', but i'm just sayin' ......

I beg to differ. I changed the winshield to a flip top, pumped some air in the rear shocks added some detachables and I find the Street Glide to be an excellent touring bike. Suits me just fine. Riding this bike to Nova Scotia from Vermont makes me appreciate it all the more as a tourer as compared to riding my Dyna or Heritage Softail in the past. No comparison. Oh and for the record, the Vance and Hines 2-1 Pro pipe changes everything!

your crazy.... My wife and I love the Street Glide. We ride to Daytona twice a year, to the mountains twice a year and are planning a cross country trip. The SG IS a popular bike, not so sure about the fashion statement thing - like i said, im not concerned about that.
