i drove my 1996 manual honda civic through a puddle and when i reached a stop sign the car would make a bunch of jolts as if the clutch were slipping. My clutch has never slipped before only after i drove through that puddle. I made it to school and when i started the car to leave, the gear shifter wouldnt go into any gear. i pushed the clutch in over and over but still wouldnt go into any gear. finally i just jammed it into reverse as hard as i could and suddenly.. WALLA! it went into all the other gears. no problems anymore. why did my car suddenly not want to engage any gears? and why is it fine now? reminder: my car ran great before i went through that puddle. After going through that puddle are when the problems started. hope you guys can help! thanks!
