Why no Jason and the Argonauts Remake???

with technology as it is and ILM more capable than ever, why no studio has yet optioned a big screen remake , is baffling. Apparently they have finally got wise in 1 area and have another Harryahausen classic Clash of the Titans set for 2010 but why not this, it has so much potential and would be a slam dunk at the box office
 
Its typical that they would remake what is widely regarded as one of the low points from Harryhausen.

There is a tv movie remake of JATA.
I've not seen it but it pops up on the SF channel and I think it may also appear on Hallmark and one of the Sky movie channels.

If you like altering history check out the new R1 release of the early Harryhausen classic 20 Million Miles To Earth .
You can use the Angle button on your remote to switch between the original B&W and a new colorised version that was supervised by Ray himself.
