I just recently noticed that in the Intel Core i7 processor offered in an HP Envy laptop has the option for Turbo Boost, giving it almost 1.1 GHz of bonus. But in a Mac with the exact same processor, it can't do the whole Turbo Boost thing. Why is this? Why doesn't Apple let you do this? And how would you do it if you wanted to on a Mac.
