why no complete Taggart collection on DVD

there is a complete box set of all 50-ood Poirot episodes to date

so why not do the same for Taggart some time

It may have something to do with distribution rights.When Taggart was first released on dvd & vhs it was by a company called Clear Vision.The recent dvd releases seem to be from a company called Acorn Media.

There was a boxset released by Clear Vision a while back.It only contained the first 55 episodes.So perhaps Clear Vision only had the distribution rights up to then.

I'm sure after Clear Vision the dvd's were distributed by a new company

I was too late to add anything to my post above.

It turns out after Clear Vision a company called John Williams Productions took over the distribution rights .

So it looks like 3 or 4 different companies have distributed the Taggart dvd's over the years.Hence why all the episodes that have come out on dvd so far can't be released in the 1 box set.
