It's not a lie. And it's not true.

How do you define "best". The book is obviously biased and it raises into question the moral economy (AKA moral philosophy) the author was operating under when writing it... and to what specifics it would say such a thing. Possibly there is a part in the book that supplies you with a means to contact the author, or maybe the publishing house. I would suggest that maybe you consider sending out the question rather than an outright insult and objection. Either way, I think you should post the question to the publishing house if the publisher is really concerned about publishing historical facts or political rhetoric.

Quite possibly it's using public opinion polls on Bush's presidency. If so, for the grand majority of his presidency, it is a fact that his approval ratings were rather low.

the book isn't lying. And it's probably only presenting the view of America at that time. That's what it does for every president. They talk about how popular or unpopular he was

BS

I doubt you have a history book that covers anything about Bush Jr. beyond the election... let alone the war in Iraq.

Just so ya know textbooks are typical 10 years behind the times. When I was in school the books stopped just before the Vietnam war.... until high school.

It was actually a bit weird to hear the news coverage of Vietnam vet problems before learning anything about the war itself.
