Was driving yesterday and raining quite hard and front windscreen wipers were on fully, but I look in my rear view mirror and my back winsscreen was dry, so didnt need to use back wipers- me confused

DO YOU THINK THERE ARE FORCES AT WORK IN THE UNIVERSE THAT WE DONT UNDERSTAND???

Strange forces at work, yep thats what it is.
It's the same force that nicks all the teaspoons and eats one sock from every pair.

if you slap someone in the face does the back of yr hand hurt?

same logic here- your windscreen hits the rain. your back screen is moving faster than the rain so does not get wet.

If the wind is blowing the rain at your front windscreen then it'll get wet and the back one won't.

Think about the angles your windows are at - they are not the same!! Rain pours at an angle too so if its hitting your front window it won't be directly hitting your back window!!

Aerodynamics at work. Tested in a wind tunnel so that forward movement creates a "hole" in the air at the back of the car and this stops rain from hitting the rear screen.
