i have a 1969 dodge d 200 power wagon, 4x4.it will fire up , but won't stay running, any suggestions?

If a car won't stay running it's a fuel problem. Something isnt getting where it needs to go and the car keeps stalling. Could be a hose, carb, fuel pump..

My vehicle was doing something similar to what you're describing and if it's the same dilema it's your fuel pump in the tank. Hope this helps.

Theres a lot that could be wrong, heres a few things to check :
Spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, fuel filter, carburator.
I'd definitely start with a can of carburator cleaner (you should be able to take the air filter off and just spray it in there) the stuff takes the gunk right off and helps your engine run better. Just make sure your engine's running while you do it, and spray a little bit at a time.

good luck

does it make any noises ? could be the fuel pump clogged air filter i cant really tell you what it is becuase you aint told me enough when you cranking the car fires up but how does it cut out ?
