Why many muslims and non-muslims are against Laws of Sharia?

Many modernists and Liberals are extremely against Sharia laws claiming its Barbaric, Outdated and not even Islamic.

Why do u think many are against them if they r so perfect to Conservative muslims?
 
Shariah law is partly built on fairy-tales and punishments that go directly against the quran (eg. puts people to death that quran doesn't say should be put to death). All muslims should be against such a 'shariah'.
