I have tried wired and wireless. I did the eight digit code and all that, but on the last part of the set up, where it connects to the extender, it always fails. When that happens, a message pops up on the xbox saying it failed. I checked my firewall settings and they are good.
Why isn't media center connecting to my xbox?
