Why isn't anyone watching "The Life & Times of Tim"

I haven't heard any peeps at all from anyone around these forums about the second season of this hilarious animated show on HBO.

The animation is pretty hard to look at, but I feel it captures the simplistic nature of the series, considering how all the humor is dialogue driven. Do TZ users not get HBO or what? This show deserves a much bigger following than it gets.

I don't get HBO Canada (which I'm not sure it even airs on?) but even if I did, I probably wouldn't watch it. It's too painful to look at.

I have HBO, but I've never seen The Life and Times of Tim because I never know when it's on. Currently, the only non-movie program that I watch on HBO is Real Time with Bill Maher.

Basically, this is my reason for not watching The Life & Times of Tim on HBO. I never know when it's going to air as well unless I decide to scroll through my cable guide and see for myself.

But then again, I am surprised that the series isn't talked about on here at all. I think if I've seen a thread here, I might have checked it out. Sort of like how I was able to adjust to Sit Down, Shut Up being moved to the 12:00 AM spot on late Sat/Early Sun on Fox, and Goode Family timeslot change on ABC as well. They gave me an idea of when to expect the new episodes to air.

This ticks me off

it's on 9pm every Friday it doesn't change

It is a well written show and only painful is the situations he gets himself in.

People you are missing a great show

I don't get HBO. However, I did get a chance to watch three episodes from season 2 about a month ago, and enjoyed them despite the nearly non-existent animation and scrawly artwork.

The first season DVDs are out now, and I picked them up to catch up. It's enjoyable seeing all the contrived situations Tim manages to get himself into, and the dialog exchanges often are funny (in that dry sort of way), but damn... the artwork...

I'm really confused as to why people are letting the animation bother them so much, in the age of Adult Swim, I would think people would pay more attention to the writing of the series more than the animation, especially when stuff like 12 0z. Mouse is around.

Well, if it helps, I don't care for most of the limited animation on modern Williams Street shows either, like 12 Oz. Mouse. Writing is important, no doubt about it, but a show also has to be pleasing to look at.

To be honest it looks kinda boring and I sometimes forget that I have movie channels. How? Because I'm always online or playing my 360. It just slips my mind until, let's say, X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes on Cinemax and then I'm like "Oh yeah, I have Cinemax" lol.

Well, this new season has definitely had a more polished look to it than the original season, I still think people would really enjoy this show if they bothered watching it.
