Why is Yahoo Mail so slow after the new chat feature was added?

I have noticed my mozilla firefox goes into not responding state many a times while I am trying to use Yahoo Mail with Chat feature. I tried reporting bugs to yahoo but it seems that they have changed their bug report system and that only contains some FAQ's now. I live in Chicago USA and I'm sure that their servers must be of very high configuration and so I feel that this is a browser support issue. How can a company like Yahoo not take care of browser support and speed.
Anyways is there any other way to report a bug to yahoo??
