Why is Toyota selling "ethnic" cars?

Concerning ethnocentric marketing pitches,
do you also think this is moronic?

I think this is another dumb idea
in a long list of dumb ideas that
society has come up with.

How far will this madness go?
Are there also going to be "Chinese-Cars",
"Hip-Hop Cars", "College-Cars", "Hippie-Cars",...& "Latino-Cars" ?

-Will there also be an Hispanic line of computer products?

"HP Pavilion AMD Athlon II NoteBook PC,
Windows 7 -Hispanic Edition", # preloaded with
Windows 7 in Spanish,
(-- because YOU can't speak English.)

As a person that is mixed-race, (W+L)
I would be insulted if a car salesman tried
to sell me an "immigrant car".
"Sir, we have an 'ethnic' car just for you,
just walk this way.., it's a Toyota - the car for HISPANICS!

The two previous cars that I used to own ran
on gasoline just like the rest of them.
(and I have never owned a Toyota.)

Maybe in their brilliant marketing campaign they
think their Toyotas will run on enchiladas.
(Just toss the enchiladas in the back and there you go.)

Also, their new marketing pitch
"Somos Muchos Latinos. Somos Muchos Toyota.",

makes it sound like we have a population problem,
this is depressing..., --"Somos muchos Latinos"!
Sheesh,
who was sitting in that board meeting when they came
up with that, where were their brains?

I can come up with a nicer catch-phase than that:

"The few, the proud, the owners of a Chevy".

My first car was a beautiful Monte Carlo,
spoked wheels, beige, two-door,
and, they didn't need to sell it to us
in Spanish.

(By the way, that car already speaks Spanish,
just like the Knight Rider car speaks English, ha,ha).
