Why is there so very little description of Jesus while he was growing up? During 5

to 25 years old? The Bible seems to cover everything else pretty well, would've thought there would be something in the Bible somewhere or in the literature about the most important person and probably the most important person in the history of human civilisation. Please help.

There are stories about young Jesus in the Gosp. of Thomas. Many of these stories are not very flattering to Jesus, thus it isn't included in the cannon.

"In another episode, a child disperses water that Jesus has collected, Jesus then curses him, which causes the child's body to wither into a corpse, found in the Greek text A, and Latin versions. The Greek text B doesn't mention Jesus cursing the boy, and simply says that the child "went on, and after a little he fell and gave up the ghost," (M.R. James translation). Another child dies when Jesus curses him when he apparently accidentally bumps into him. In the latter case, there are three differing versions recorded the Greek Text A, Greek Text B, and the Latin text. Instead of bumping into Jesus in A, B records that the child throws a stone at Jesus, while the last says the boy punched him."

Young Jesus appears evil in these text, which would undermine "Christian" concepts of a innocent Jesus. Jesus was a bad a$$ as a child.

Because ancient history is incomplete. Ancient sources don't even mention undead zombie squirrels.

Angry squirrel terrorizes Vermont town

A neighborhood in Bennington, Vt., is under siege following a series of attacks carried out by a gray squirrel. At least three people have been victims of unprovoked attacks by a gray squirrel on a street in Bennington, Vt., over the past few weeks, leaving many residents of the formerly placid so...utheastern Vermont town wondering if they might be next.

Bennington Banner reporter Keith Whitcomb, Jr., interviewed East St. resident and squirrel-mauling victim Kevin McDonald, who said he was shoveling snow outside of his house, when he felt the animal's razor-sharp claws tearing into his back and shoulders. McDonald managed fend off the squirrel and flee into his house, but not before the the ill-tempered rodent lunged at him twice more.

That woman is being treated for rabies.

The Associated Press quotes Vermont Public Health Veterinarian Robert Johnson, who said that there has never been a case of a squirrel passing rabies to a human. Instead, Johnson speculates that the squirrel was tamed by humans.

"They've lost their fear of people and they go ballistic (when they encounter a person) because it's not their human," Johnson told the AP.

Then people would emphasize the wrong parts of His life.

The things written about Jesus are things God wanted people to think about and focus on.

The one instance He did His own thing before His relationship with His mother was severed He was rebuked and did not do so again until His ministry began.

I have asked the same question. I believe the church may have done away with these writings, simply because it might have incriminated their teachings.
And when did God become employed by Barnes and Noble?

What Happened During Jesus' 'Lost Years' (Luke 2:42; 3:23)?

At the time Herod ordered all the young boys in Bethlehem to be slain, Joseph took Mary and Jesus and fled into Egypt. When the danger was past, they returned to their own country and settled in a town in Galilee: "And he [Joseph and his family] came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, 'He shall be called a Nazarene' [one who comes from Nazareth]" (Matthew 2:23).

From Nazareth, they would all travel to Jerusalem each year for the Passover. On one of those occasions, when He was 12, Jesus stayed behind in the Temple. Afterward, "He went down with them [His family] and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them" (Luke 2:51). So, Jesus evidently spent most of those years in Nazareth. Otherwise, people would not have known Him as a Nazarene.

After He was 30, Jesus preached in the synagogue in His home town: "So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up" (Luke 4:16). Notice the reaction of the townspeople: "So all . . . marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, 'Is this not Joseph's son?" (verse 22). The people knew Him! This is confirmed when, on a similar occasion, in astonishment they said, "Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? And his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?'" (Matthew 13:54-56). The people knew His whole family, as this was Jesus' "own country" (verse 54; Luke 4:24).

Obviously, Jesus spent most of those 18 years between ages 12 and 30 in Nazareth where He was trained and where He studied. Whether or not He traveled to any foreign nation is not revealed in Scripture.

Simple................The men that wrote the stories that make up the Bible didn't think about writing a story about then........................

Choose any of the following situations as an explanation:

* He masturbated
* He was gay
* He had acne
* His voice was awkward
* He was an adherent of Judaism

There are two manuscripts called the Book of Infancy I & II that were rejected to be placed in the Bible due to their content, probably because they don't show Jesus in the most god-like image but rather more like a kid, and a teenager. They describe some of his life growing up. I'm sure you can find them online, you should check them out.

because he was not there in the first place, all that you see about him is a collection of myths about the behavior of the sun
