Why is there no more classic Disney movies?

Like cartoon ones? Like Aladdin, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast. All great classic Disney movies. It now seems to be just Pixar Disney which is good but not a patch on the old stuff.

I prefer Aladdin,Lion King ect over Cars,Nemo,Incredibles but maybe it's a childhood thing and I like what I grew up with more and the newer Disney CGI animated movies do have a huge following with kiRAB too as does their non animation (P.O.T.C inpaticular).

Maybe the likes Nemo,Incredibles have more complex plots as opposed to the likes of Lion King,Bambi,Peter Pan and so on and the emotion works best when it comes to the simpler settings.

Or maybe we just can't get used to CGI Disney (Although I see Toy Story as one of Disney's best).

Disney changed a few of its top people and they have decided to stop doing crappy direct to DVD sequels like Cinerella 3 etc.

Here is what's coming up:
The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Rapunzel (2009)
Bolt (2008)

I think these will be 2D. The Princess and The Frog will have Disney's first black princess. Things look better for the future of Disney's movies, they just need some of the magic they had with The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast etc.

after the mixed reaction of his last outing, Herbie neeRAB to come back, but this time with no teen air-head in the lead role. Justin Long can come back though, he was very much like Don Knotts in HFL.
a 2009 movie/special would be nice, to mark his 40th Birthday.

2D Disney films are finished IMO. The last ones i really enjoyed are Lilo and Stick and The Emperor's New Groove. Apparently Disney are going to try going back to 2D.

Toy story, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles etc are all absolute classics, as good if not better than anything Disney have ever made in my opinion.

Never thought much of disney their cartoons where pretty average.
They did corner the market in epic cartoons or animated movies if you like, but I always prefered warner brothers.

Give me Bugs Bunny any day over a disney production.

That's good to hear. I love classic Disney films, and i really hope those three films do well...... but i probably won't watch them.
