Why is there so much discrimination against blacks and Asians within the so-called gay community? I'm gay and Asian and have experienced this. Many gay men tend to be so blunt about how they think black and Asian men are drop dead ugly. I always see this "no Asians please thing" in gay dating sites, especially among younger gay men.
This one time in West Hollywood, I was walking along Santa Monica and two gay guys walked pass by me. One of them was a fat guy and the other one was a buff white guy. The fat one was holding a picture of a middle aged Asian man and said to me "it's an honor to meet you."He was making an inference that all Asians look the same. I'm only 19 btw.
Being Asian or black and gay is difficult. No one seems to understand this. I don't feel welcome in that superficial world. Why is this so?
