differences? When you take 2 places (at the same latitude) one out east and the other out west it seem as if the west is A LOT warmer than the east when adjusted for elevation differences? Example is the White Mtns and Tetons are at the same latitude, but the treeline is around 5000 in the Whites but in the Tetons it is almost 10,000 ft.
why is the western US a lot warmer than the eastern when corrected for elevation
