I was sitting down watching TV, arms and hands relaxed when all of a sudden I felt some pain in my hand. I looked at my right palm and there was a lump that was moving. To rule out the possibility of a bug underneath my skin I stuck my fingers to the pulse of my neck to see if the movements were similar. So now I know it was a vein sticking out and not a bug (yes I have rather insane thoughts when I am tired). As I mentioned it kind of hurt. The rest of the veins in my palms were quite visible too but not sticking out like the one that was moving.
I went to go brush my teeth to take my mind off of it and when I finished the lump and moment had gone. I know it's most likely something simple but what the heck was it doing? I am 23, female and a smoker if that helps.
I am studying medical terminology so don't dumb the answer down.
Though I feel stupid for asking this if it's supposed to be normal.
