...indigenous people? I had to laugh out loud in the face of a canadian recently who started to condemn the US treatment of Indians. I mentioned her own country's record and she looked at me as if I just stepped off a space ship. She probably thinks that's where Americans come from too....

Treatment of indigenous peoples is a big issue here, and a big issue in Australia

Canada is too nice on the subject, it needs to be resolved, and it cannot be resolved fairly. Indians have learned how to play the system for the big bucks, shared by a handful of the leadership
