Why is the option to upload pictures unavailable (greyed out) on the mobile version of..

...facebook? I often try to upload pictures using facebook mobile on my N97. The only option available is to upload a picture from my mobile's camera, but the option to upload from my mobile phone's gallery is greyed out. That option worked for two days but now it is unavailable.

What version can I download (if any) to have the gallery upload option available?
