Why is the McCain camp pro-off shore drilling?

they are behind it to win this election. some people are being fooled into this will lower gas prices.but it wont.he isn't doing it to help us he's doing it to help himself.he needs the big money backers like big oil to get elected. and let's face it he so old he isn't thinking about the possible consequences this may have in the future.he would sell his soul to get elected and i believe he has

What about potential danger to our marine-life, air quality, and water pollution, etc. Is there a way to drill without impacting these things?

The Sierra Club uses scare tactics to promote their anti-energy agenda and to raise massive amounts of money from under-informed people. The truth is no environmental harm has occurred with off-shore drilling in 3-4 decades. The new technology is really good. There's greater risk with tankers crossing the oceans. Drilling where the oil is, is much better than drilling where it's not.

The $1.5 million in campaign contributions that oil company executives have made to McCain's campaign I'm sure had a lot to do with his flip flop on off shore drilling.
