Why is the clock on my desktop showing military time?

I am using Windows XP Dark Edition and i dont know how to change the clock to normal time.

Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Regional Options - Customize - Time

Mine has
h:mm:ss tt
:
AM
PM

You should be able to double click on the time and open the menu. There should be a setting to change the time format to match the 12 hour clock and apply the settings.
