Why is the American media making such a big deal out of Tiger Woods?

Look at BBC News. It talked about women being unjustifiably killed in Somalia, not a celebrity's personal life.

Because the media conglomerates have prostituted themselves to selling newspapers. And how about all those bimbos coming out of the woodwork and blabbing about their affairs with Tiger? I don't condone his behavior, but what they are doing is real nasty and totally off the wall. It doesn't say a lot about honor and intimacy. IMO, those things are sacred between a man and a woman.

The American media are very biased! That being said, the atrocities in Somalia have played third-fiddle to gossip & inuendo!

THERE ARE soo... many other important things happening on planet Earth, yet the media reports the breaking T.W. news.

Yes, they've made a HUGE deal about T.W. transgressions!

The American media is a joke! Celebrities are elevated to God-like status & the moment ANY sort of controvesry arises, they pull out all the stops to belittle & demean them!

Tiger Woods had a squeaky-clean image, the operative word is: HAD.

Last week, he compromised that perception & now the media is trying to tear him apart.

Bottom Line: He humiliated his White wife Elin & now, he's going to pay!

Because he is a successful black man who gets his pick of beautiful white women. It is a play on a widespread racist view that white women must be protected from predatory, sexually voracious, black men.

Cause people just think its fun to make celebrities look like crap just for entertainment, to make other people feel good about themselves just to know that someone better then them did something wrong.... trust me it aint gonna stop there, they going to keep doing stuff like that to him and other celebrities just 4 the dumbest things they make a big deal for tiger woods for crashing hes car but but nobody cares if someone got shot.... that's AMERICA!!

Why would a person suddenly object to the usual celebrity scandal scrutiny of the average citizen when Tiger Woods comes under the microscope. He gets praised as a role-model and paid millions for chasing around a little ball in a park. He should be able to endure a little negative attention.

The tiger gave up his right to a personal life

when he decided to become a big deal, in the

celebrity jungle . . .

Though I'm not really familiar with news channels, I thought BBC primarily featured political news? As for my opinion on Tiger Woods, I don't think he should get any media attention because he's no different than any other guy that cheats on his wife. Simply because he's famous doesn't make it any different, but BECAUSE he's famous, journalists will exploit that fact to get an interesting story, considering how his fans and the general public will be extremely interested in his story. Then, the journalists can collect a fat paycheck. That's my opinion. I believe, if they wish to make Tiger Woods' story such an issue, it should be featured on sports news, not news that reports politics.
