I know it's very expensive. Do you have any kind of insurance? Even if you have state insurance, they will pay for it.

I have private insurance - aetna- and i have been told by several people that private insurance won't pay for it....but they'll pay for the pain meRAB....go figure.....

They should pay for it.
You may have to get a prior authorization from the Doc, but they should pay for it.
I would definitely check it out.
Take your Rx to the pharmacy to have it filled and see what happens.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't pay for it.
Good luck

Guess I should have been more clear...and maybe this is just in my area, but I cannot find a Dr. who wants less than $200 for the first 2 sessions to initially get on suboxone, then you pay around $100 a week for counseling. The pills themselves may be covered by my insurance. Am I correct in assuming that not every Dr. can prescribe this? I'm only going off of the Dr.'s that I've contacted off of suboxones website. It just seems crazy to me....

What you need to do is some research look on the web for a list of doctors that perscribe sub in your area. Then check with them to see if they carry your ins. Thats how I found my doc and she is awesome very understanding and supportive!!! She watches me carefully and I feel very comfortable talking to her. Yes she had to put in a preauthorization for the script to be covered it lasted 3 months and now we have to redo it cuz its been 3 mos. to me its cheaper than all the $$ the ins company had to pay for my addiction. But most importantly I am sober today because of it. Good luck hope you find it.

Love ya,
Lori
