Is it because all that you need to play soccer is a ball and dnt need no expensive equipment?

why do you think soccer is the most played and loved sport around the world?
 
Because it's the cheapest sport. Not too many equipment needed just a ball to kick around and they can make goals out of sticks or just lining up trash cans. That opens up the door for more people to jion in.
 
Football what you say soccer is played around the world because it brings two teams together to compete and bring happiness to people around the world.
