Why is Samsung frost-free American-style fridge icing up inside?

We called in a repair man - he charged £80 to replace the cooling unit in the back of the fridge.
13 months later, this is iced up again, so we disconnected the new unit, defrosted it... a few weeks later, iced up again. We checked the seals are all OK. Now it is iced up again - call tell by noise the fan makes.

We've thought about buying a replacement cooling unit, or just a new fan, but we can't find any way to detach / reconnect wires as there are no terminals.

We can't afford another £80!

HELP!!!
Please.

Sounds as if your defrost timer is bad. Would call a few other repair men and ask them for an opinion of what problem could be. The most logical thing would be the defrost timer. If one gives you that diagnosis to begin with would ask the amt. of the service call and if within limits would ask Him or Her to come out.
