Why is sai (weapon) not in most dictionaries?

There is no other term for it, and a lot of not-so-reputable sites will list it, but no reputable sites (as far as I have found.) What's up with that? Know one will believe me that it is a word unless they find it from a "reputable" dictionary. Is there a good reason for this? Should I just stick to the reputable ones, or should I just cross check the non-reputable ones? Its not for a paper or anything just Scrabble (and yes, it said foreign words, slang, etc. are acceptable as long as they are not abbreviations, capitalized...) and no, sai is never capitalized in text. We don't have a Scrabble dictionary yet, so what do we do until then?
OK, so now I found the official scrabble online site, but it doesn't seem that accurate.

EX: Scythe (1 word found)
To cut with a scythe.

1 word found, a verb, but the noun is not listed except as part of the definition for the verb. Why?
Another thing, Qaid is is Muslim leader,
Petsai is a Chinese cabbage. Both are in.
