Why is Psychology listed under Social Sciences ......?

.... Yahoo Answers .... and Mental Health is listed under Health?? But many of the Psychology questions are actually Mental Health questions.

I think mental health is the "what" while psychology is the "why".

Social Sciences are the sciences which study and observe people. So… sociology, politics & government, human history, and psychology all work.

Mental health is usually considered a field of medicine. Psychiatrists study mental health and treat patients.

Many people confuse psychology and psychiatry. There is an overlap, but most people exaggerate it. That's why the questions are sometimes mis-sorted.

Well, going crazy, but eating healthy and doing exercise still doesn't mean you are overall healthy. Been 'mentally stable' is just as important. Psychology is practically a science, and a social matter.
