Philosophy and Science were once considered very much the same. I see this in Thales and all other Socratics but also with Aristotle and many other philosophers. Today science is said to have broken away from philosophy and now dominates over it and considers philosophy a part of science. this is not universally agreed but seems to be the common view. Should not philosophy in itself be superior to science. Please note that I am talking about real Philosophy and not what the common man or woman thinks but what the philosopher is engaged in.
