Why is Obama given the blame for the financial crisis in America?

Quite often I see people posting on online forums about how the Obama regime has left everybody with no money. Wasn't the country left in record high debt when Bush finished his presidency? It just doesn't make any sense to me why Obama is being blamed when he has only just started his term.

Please don't respond with "Obama Supporter" or anything like that, I'm just a neutral observer.
 
I don't see that he is and Seldon Sir, you are WRONG

The blame lies squarely with Government intervention into the free market system

1. Carter and the CRA
2. Clinton and his National Homeownership Strategy
3. Clinton appointees committing fraud at Fannie and Freddie
4. Frank, Dodd and other Dems on Senate Banking Committee blocking a dozen attempts by the Bush administration to regulate Fannie and Freddie

Democratic Policies created the SubPrime Loan.

Fannie Mae took them and ran to the bank.

i don't agree that he was given the blame for the crisis. it's clear how many others were involved. what he IS given blame for is the poor response and lack of coherent, clear plans to fix it. so far, we've done nothing to address the source of the financial crisis, nothing to hold those responsible accountable for their actions, and nothing to think through a long term strategy. for the love of image, we have seen this man act too quickly so the country THOUGHT he was doing something, all the while making our situation worse.
 
I am not blaming BO for the what Bush has done to the economy....But do you really think doubling and tripling the debt is the answer??? I don't see how adding more debt to an already huge debt is going to help the economy...It sure wouldn't help my situation if I tried to spend money to get out of my own personal debt....
 
He isn't to blame but if there is a depression in the next couple of months I think he will be partly because of all the spending.
 
You have to look at the whole picture. First of all, Obama was part of the congress that blocked the Bush administrations attempts at stopping the financial trainwreck they saw coming.

Then, the Obama administration, with Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank and the rest of the gang, are spending like there is no tomorrow. Anyone with a an eye for the future can see what the Obama plan means for us in the coming years. And it aint pretty. Obama has a vision, but no business sense or experience, all he knows how to do is campaign and spend, spend, spend.
 
Because he is the president. Everyone blames everything on the president. Hoover was blamed for the Great depression but there was nothing he could do about it.
 
We ALL complained about Bush bailing out all these companies and his spending. Now, Obama has stepped it up AND has proposed 4 TIMES the spending than Bush and Dems are supporting this agenda.

I was mad at Bush and I am mad at Obama. Dems were mad at Bush and are somehow happy with Obama. Does that make sense?
