Why is Nokia so annoying?

Hmm...

1. N77 is announced quite a while after CES. -_-" Nokia also condraticts itself when it said WiFi will be standard but the N76 which was announced on the same event doesn't have WiFi.

2. I would call Wi-Fi a multimedia feature rather than an enterprise feature. Heck, people use Wi-Fi for net serving a lot, more than they'd use for corporate stuff, I'd say.

3. I totally agree that nobody's gonna bother. Although, shouldn't multimedia devices be capable of such feature in the first place? Besides, how costly is A2DP? Correct me if I am wrong, but A2DP is just Bluetooth profile... That shouldn't make it that costly, does it? Why not put it there then?

4. Well, I wish Nokia would be trying its hardest to improve itself rather than slacking off because the competition is still behind.
 
You don't get my point completely. I'm not saying the phones should be better as number progresses. What I'm saying is, it should not be generally worse as time goes along.

N77 is the best example. Nokia shouldn't try to make a more affordable phone marked as an N-Series, when the series is meant to be high-end in the first place.

Besides that, they shouldn't be frigging similar. That's really what I was trying to say. I apologize if I didn't get the message across.

Say, the N72 and the N70. I'd say it's just a cosmetic update. In fact, the N72is inferior hardware wise. N71 and N70... They just have different form.

Now, take N75, N76, and N77. Of course, they aren't meant to be better than the N73. However, they are meant to be something different from other existing models.

I don't see much difference. N75 is great just for the US 3G frequencies (though I like the look a lot). N76... a new N71 that is truely inspired by Moto RAZR. N77... ugh... add DVB-H in. I can't imagine people wanting one just for the TV feature.

I'd be great, if Nokia adds WiFi to N76 and N77 and... say... put Auto-Focus into these phones so that the cameras are in fact different that the normal Nokia phones that are not in the multimedia series.

This is just how I feel. I don't want to start a debate though, just expressing my opinion.
 
Hmm...Cingular reported over 1'000'000 users signed up to be alerted when the phone is released. That's hardly a dent...

Also, most people don't give 2 scoops about 'SmartPhones'. There's a handful of nerds like us that have to install every thinkable feature and app into our phones but honestly, how often do you need to use them?

To those with data plans that for recreational use, how often do you absolutely need to use that data consuming application / web browser?

I think Symbian is loaded with a bunch of bells and whistles that none of us really need...or would ever care about if we didn't have.

Who's using that amazing 'Barcode Scanner' today? What about 'Sensor'?

How about apps that should be available from launch or in a firmware upgrade like the 'SMS Accelerator' or 'Auto Keyguard'?

In all honesty, many Symbian apps are just redundant and duplications or extensions of native applications.

Task manager wouldn't be needed if there wasn't a RAM issue all the time; and all the millions of file manager, email and web browser applications are just minor variations of each other.

The iPhone has what the masses want: simple yet practical and innovative functionality

Something that no one else has yet....except for the Pearl maybe....
