Why is my Sony Bravia TV changing from color to black and white?

Sony Bravia TV Model KDL40W5100 purchased in October, 2009. Has just started to switch from color to black and white. If I press the "guide" button on my Dishnetwork remote the guide screen does a little wiggle but it stays black and white. I found that I can get the color back by switching channels. I'm not even through paying for this thing yet. Is this common with Bravia TV's? Is it common with HDLCD TVs? How much should this cost in Columbus, Ohio to Fix? Thank you
