My son is 7 years old. In the past 6 weeks he has had gastroenteritis 4 times. He has just started showing symptoms today. He stopped showing symptoms from the last bout a week ago. They have all started out with high fevers. Then he gets all the other symptoms. The last time it was so bad he was in hospital and he had colitis real bad. Could there be an underlying cause? How is this going to affect his poor little body? Could he have been misdiagnosed? I am so worried about him. He has had gastro heaps of times but never this many in a short period of time and never this severe. I am very strict with Hygiene but he goes to a special needs school so I guess he would be picking it up there.
