why is my sanyo 26in hdtv producing jagged lines when i play my ps3?

ok so when i play on a standard tv i dont have this problem but i hooked my ps3 up with hdmi cables to my 26in sanyo tv, well when i play games i see like jagged lines on objects like buildings and cars but only when im in motion.. its really annoying , ive set my ps3 up to hd , a messed woth the sharpness i cant get it, can anyone help me
