Why is my PC making a clicking sound? (Packard Bell iXtreme X5620 (M3720))?

Hi,

I bought a Packard Bell iXtreme X5620 (M3720) last month and on the first day of setting it up/trying it out I noticed a clicking sound coming from the tower unit. I took it back to the shop I bought it from, and a staff member at PC World opened it up and had a look, he didn't say a word until he said "I'll just get you another one"... so obviously there was a fault, but I don't know what because he didn't say - he simply just exchanged mine for another one.

Anyway, the new one he replaced my other one with is doing the same thing! It's making a clicking sound (sounds like it's coming from the hard drive). Also, there is a humming/vibrating sound coming from the tower unit too.

Should I take this PC back to the shop too? or can it be normal for PC's to make a clicking sound? (every few seconds). I have owned two other PC's in the past 6 years (both emachines) and neither ever made a clicking sound.

Thanks
I wouldn't say it's extremely loud, but you can hear it at a distance if the room is in silence. It's like a clicking/clonking sound.

It's so frustrating because this will be the 2nd faulty one now! This PC cost me over £500 and is the best I could afford. Looks like I will have to pay extra to get a different make with better specs... I am not going to bother having them give me ANOTHER one of these ones and it does the exact same thing.
Oh I forgot to mention. The clicking sound also happens when the PC is idle (just on desktop, not running internet or any programs).
