Why is my outdated factory navigation still worth so much?

I plan on upgrading the navigation/stereo unit in my car. I plan to sell the old navigation/stereo unit (Chrysler RB1) to off set the costs. However, I am finding that my old navigation/stereo unit (Chrysler RB1) is still pretty sought after and able to catch a good chunk of change. Why is this if the navigation/stereo unit is old?

The RB1 has only been out for 3 years. The list price from the dealer is close to $700, and a H&R repair could cost close to $500.......that makes it in high demand.
