I just upgraded to a Gateway DX4850-27e running Windows 7 from a Gateway GT5637e running Windows Vista and now it is taking hours to download files from the net that used to take minutes, and it is also much slower to download files from my thumb drive to my new computer. I am using the same router and modem I used with the old computer. Everything else is running perfectly on the new computer, games, etc. Do I need to install anything else on the new computer? Drivers, etc? I have a basic computer knowledge, but by no means am I a real computer wizard. Please explain in layman's terms. Any help is appreciated!
